discussion
Discussion: This terrestrial vermivore is the largest-bodied of the species of Tateomys and Melasmothrix. Stomach morphology closely similar to that of Tateomys macrocercus and Melasmothrix naso and unlike the large-bodied, Sulawesian shrew rat, Echiothrix centrosa, which occurs in lowland tropical evergeen rain forest at lower altitudes in the same region (Musser and Durden, 2002).
