Nakednape Eeelpout. To 42.2 cm (16.6 in) (Anderson and Peden 1988). Haida Gwaii, northern British Columbia to vicinity of Isla Guadalupe, central Baja California; Gulf of California (Anderson and Peden 1988). Benthic; depth: 1,646 – 3,219 m (6,399 – 10,561 ft) (min.: Kamikawa 2017; max.: Anderson and Peden 1988). A potential shallower catch at 366 m (1,200 ft) was taken by a bottom trawl fished over a depth range of 366 – 732 m (2,400 ft) (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California).
